Holding The Lantern high, you see the terrible obstacle before you: a seemingly bottomless pit, that’s alive!

Glistening saliva drips from it’s hundreds of teeth. It’s tentacles lash out at you, aiming to get an easy meal.

Encounter

The Sarlac Pit is a Trap.

Avoid

Without Rope, you can try to jump across. Roll the hero die — 15 or higher and you clear it. Otherwise, the trap triggers.

Disarming

If you have Rope, you can use it to build a makeshift bridge. Disarm 2 to tie both ends carefully.

Smash

If you use anything flammable, all rolls for smashing are Lucky Rolls.

Trigger

The Sarlac triggering means you’ve fallen in. T4.

To climb out, win a Cursed Battle Roll, taking damage if you fail. You can try as many times as you like.

If you have Rope, even if you used it in this room, it’s a normal roll. If you fail 3 times in a row, become Poisoned.
